Decorating your home for Christmas

Hello everyone and Merry Christmas!!!

May the gloss of Christmas fill the hearts of your and your loved ones all year long.
Now I will show you a few steps how to easily decorate your house for Christmas. Some of the decorations are handmade some are nice combinations of handmade and ready ones, so if you don't have time to spend for creating your pieces of art, then just go shopping:)

1. Step
To get into the spirit put on some nice Christmas music like this:

2. Step
To welcome your guests, put on some nice wreaths on your door. This year I chose a ready one, silver star shaped.

3. Step
Don't forget about bringing to your house the smell of holidays, so add as many candles as possible to your room/house, make some nice combinations of baubles, candles and garlands. I used empty boxes of Ferrero Rocher chocolates that I filled with baubles, tea lights, rainbow candles and beads and here you go a nice candle holder.

4. Step
Don't forget about one of the important Christmas decorations, a stocking filled with chocolates, candies and cookies.

5. Step
Finalize your Christmas decorating with a nice Christmas tree.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to Everyone!

Christmas Tree (Rustic style)

Hello everyone!

Hooray! Christmas is coming, my favourite season for home decorating. Of course the most important decoration for Christmas is the Christmas Tree! Even long after you stop believing in Santa Claus, a gorgeous Christmas tree remains the centrepiece of the holidays. Since 2011 I was making my own DIY trees (check my DIY Christmas trees (2011-2013), so this year I keep the same tradition. Besides saving the trees, a DIY Xmas tree project also strengthens the holiday spirit, and makes it more special. It also serves as a one of a kind interior decoration.

So check out my Rustic style Xmas tree for this year.

P.S. And once again, save the planet, don't cut trees, make your own Christmas trees:)

Supplies are: aluminium wire, decorative yarn, straw Christmas decorations, fairy lights  and some inspiration.

For making the skeleton I used an aluminium wire. The shape is absolutely obvious.

Then I wrapped the skeleton with some decorative yarn.

For decorating the tree I used some straw decorations in beige and red colour, all looking kinda rustic.

Add a nice bow to complete the look.

In the end, I added straw decorations and fairy lights and VoilĂ , my 2014 Christmas Tree is ready.

Halloween wreath

Hello everyone and Happy Halloween!!!

Today is Halloween also known as AllHalloween or All Hallows Eve, the time of the year dedicated to remembering the dead, including saints (hallows), martyrs and all the faithful departed believers.
This year I decided to make some special decoration for Halloween, and guess what, it is another wreath, my Warm summer wreath is in the closet, waiting for the next summer, so my new Halloween wreath is replacing it for this autumn.
All you need is: a skeleton for your wreath, glue, coloured paper, small Halloween decorations (spiders, bats and bugs), bandages or any kind of fabrics that will replace spider webs.

P.S. When witches go riding,
        and black cats are seen,
        the moon laughs and whispers,
                           it's near Halloween.

Supplies you will need.

Your wreaths skeleton. The shape I prefer the most for wreath is a round one, which I wrapped in one of my old black knitted vests.

Your skeleton is ready.

Next step is decorating it. For spider web imitation I used some medical bandages and a decorative fluffy yarn.

Add some spiders...

And Boooooooooo!!!

Happy Halloween!:)

African style vase

Hello everyone!
Today I would like to show how to recycle a Pringles can into a vase. So I am continuing my African/Safari theme and the vase will be decorated in this style as well. Pringles can has actually a very good shape and it's pretty durable for using it as a storage box, vase for flowers, packaging for gifts or anything else you can fit inside, just make it unique and beautiful by decorating it the way you like. It costs you almost nothing, the only thing you need is some time and imagination and the result will please you and others.

P.S. I wish you a day as bright and warm as my African vase is.

Supplies are: Pringles can (tube), coloured paper or crafts paper, glue, decorative yarn, instead of flowers to put in I bought some decorative small branches with lights.
So this is how it looks like:)

Supplies and tools I needed to start creating.

Decorative branch with lights on.

Now wrap your vase with some coloured papers, wrapping papers or newspapers, add some nice patterns and ornaments, elephants and yarn and your vase is ready:)

Add your flowers, which in my case are branches.

In the end, choose a good place for your decoration in your house and light it on!!!
