Gift Wrapping

Hello everyone!!!

    Christmas and New Year is coming and most of you have their gifts ready for loved ones to go under the Christmas Tree. 
In this post I will show you some ideas of Christmas gift wrapping, to make it more special and festive. So going away from ribbon+paper gift wrapping I tried to add a fine touch to the whole process, so the gift will look great inside and outside.
Here I will show you some pictures of my gift wrapping from last year and this year, all gifts are real and waiting for their time to be given to loved ones.

    Supplies you need: all kind of paper, not necessarily wrapping paper, it can be tissue paper, craft paper, foil paper, colored card paper and many more; ribbons and bows of all colors and kinds: satin ribbon, yarn, crepe paper ribbon, velvet ribbons, anything you find in the nearest craft store or even some leftovers from previous years; to decorate your gift use all kind of Christmas Tree decorations: baubles, tinsel, lights, dried fruit, pompoms, pine cones, candy canes, sweets, chocolates... it can be anything.

Dream Catcher Wreath

Hello everyone!!!
Long time no post:) Hello autumn and here I am with another wreath tutorial. There are 4 things you need to have a good autumn: fluffy blanket, hot cup of tea, a cat and a Dream Catcher Wreath:)) This time I was inspired by Native American decor theme, it's wildness and divine beauty leaves you speechless. As a predominant part of Native American Decor, Dream Catchers are widely used in all other cultures. Originally it represents a small hoop containing a horsehair mesh decorated with feathers and beads, believed by American Indians to give its owner good dreams. So this time I decided to make not just a Dream Catcher, but a Wreath as well with autumn inspiration.

So here you go, my Dream Catcher Autumn Wreath tutorial for you down below.

All you need is: Styrofoam round shape, yarn (3 colors), decorative feathers, dried decorative wheat, felt maple leaves, cedar roses and of course hot glue gun and scissors.

P.S. Dream your dreams with your eyes closed...but live your dreams with your eyes open...

Start with your skeleton, choose the shape you prefer the most, I always prefer a round one

Wrap around your Styrofoam shape with yarn and then start with weaving the net in the middle of your Dream Catcher

When finished with the hoop, start creating your tassels, mine are simply knotted with casuarina cones (Casuarina explanation)

Take some decorative feathers of the color you like to decorate the endings of your tassels

Stick your tassels to the hoop

 Add some felt leaves, decorative wheat and cedar roses to give it an autumn finish

And here you go, your autumn themed Dream Catcher is ready to decorate your doors or walls
